Who's Down For ("the App") is operated by Thesis Studio LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with the App.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Names provided by organizers or participants
  • Phone numbers provided by organizers or entered by participants
  • Event titles and event-related information
  • Responses to polls or availability requests
  • Basic technical information (IP address, browser type, usage data)

We use error-monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Sentry, to help detect crashes, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability. These tools may collect technical information such as device or browser details, IP address, page or route information, error logs, and performance data. When an error occurs, they may also capture limited recent interaction or screen context to help us understand what went wrong; this happens only in connection with that error, not as ongoing recording of your sessions. We do not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Participants do not need to create accounts to respond to event coordination requests.

2. Sign-In Information

Organizers sign in to Who's Down For using Google or Apple. When you sign in, we receive a limited set of information from the provider:

  • Your email address
  • Your name as stored on the account
  • A unique account identifier

We use this information only to:

  • Create and authenticate your organizer account
  • Send authentication and account-related emails (such as sign-in links)
  • Display your name in the App and to participants you invite to your plans

We do not request or access any other Google or Apple account data, and we do not use sign-in information for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing. You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or to your Apple account at appleid.apple.com.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Facilitate event coordination
  • Send SMS messages related to specific plans
  • Deliver poll updates and reminders
  • Improve the functionality of the App
  • Provide customer support

We do not use phone numbers for marketing or promotional messaging.

4. SMS Communications

Who's Down For sends SMS messages only in connection with specific social plans created by an organizer.

When live coordination begins for a plan, or when a participant is added after that live phase has already begun, the system may send a single SMS message asking the recipient to opt in to participate. Only recipients who explicitly reply (e.g., YES) are enrolled and receive further SMS messages.

After opting in, SMS messages are transactional and relate only to coordinating that specific plan. Messages may include:

  • Requests to provide availability or input
  • Poll updates
  • Availability reminders
  • Plan confirmations

Message frequency varies based on plan activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP, get help by replying HELP, or re-enable messages by replying START.

5. Consent

When an organizer adds a participant by phone, we may send an initial opt-in message asking that participant to reply YES before receiving ongoing plan coordination texts or plan links. These messages are for coordinating specific plans, not marketing. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help, or START to re-enable messages.

When live coordination begins for a plan, or when a participant is added after that live phase has already begun, we send this initial opt-in request as described above. The recipient must reply (e.g., YES) to confirm participation before further plan coordination SMS are sent.

Opt-in responses are logged with timestamp and originating phone number as a record of consent.

If you believe you received a message in error, please reply STOP or contact support.

6. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade phone numbers or personal information. We use third-party service providers — including Supabase (authentication and database hosting) and Twilio (SMS delivery) — solely to operate the App.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to operate the App and fulfill legitimate business purposes.

8. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

You may:

  • Opt out of SMS messages at any time
  • Contact us to request information deletion, subject to operational needs
